Preschool Pathway

Each time you bring your children to their class, know that they will receive quality care. All volunteers must complete an application and undergo a background check. We also maintain a Rule of Three, meaning that there are always two volunteers in each class so no child is left alone with an adult. You can be confident that they are cared for, prayed for and instructed in the ways of God.   Our classes are a parent-cooperative program involving every parent as well as other volunteers and teachers. We ask that each parent serve once every two months to help keep our classes at or ahead of the State standards for “adult to child” ratios, as well as assist the regular teachers with classroom order and care. This increases the ministry value and the quality of individual care given to each child. We are looking for people who would like to join our Preschool Pathway volunteer staff and minister God’s love to our young children. Check-in

When you come to Abundant Life, your first stop will be at our check-in kiosks. This is where you meet some great people, register your children and start your visit to our church. At the kiosk, just follow a few simple steps to sign-in your children.

1. Click on the link "New Child Registration."  This will take you to a registration page.  Please fill out all the information requested for each child separately.  After you have finished, click "Submit."  Again, you will have to do this for each child.
2. Once you have completed the New Child Registration form, your children should appear in the drop down menu in alphabetical order by last name.
3. Select your child by double clicking their name. 
4. Fill in room they are attending, your name, pager/pin number and which service(s) you are attending.  Pagers and PIN’s are available right at the kiosk. You may also list any special needs at this time.  Once you have done this, click "Submit"
5. Congratulations!  Your child is now checked in.  All that is left to do is print their name tag(s).  At the bottom of the page, click the "Print" button for the name tags and then click once more on the pop-up.  Your child's name tag will print out ready to go!

That’s it! Now you and your children are ready to have a great time. All that’s left is to get to your rooms. After you have completed signing in the children, ask one of our Welcome Staff to take you to the correct rooms.

Safety and Pick-Up

Pager System - We have a pager system in place that is also our security system.  On the roster make sure you indicate the number of your pager.  You may use the same pager for multiple children.  
Contacting You - If we need to contact you at any point during the service, you will receive a short message letting you know what the cause of the page is.  Don’t worry though; the pagers are always on vibrate.  If you are paged, please come back to Preschool Pathway immediately.

Baby Land:

Baby Land Zoo is for some of our littlest children. Walking to 2 1/2 years will be in a safe fun environment where children hear the basics about God and the Bible

Nursing Mothers – For your convenience, we have rooms designated for nursing mothers. During 1st Service, mothers are welcome to use the Pre-School Park classroom to nurse. During our 2nd Service, the Nursing Mother’s room is available.

Diaper Changing Station – There are changing stations in both men’s and women’s restrooms, as well as Baby Land and the Nursing Mother’s room.

Toddler Town:

Toddler Town is loads of fun for our 2 1/2 and 3 year olds. There are lots of things to do and see in this room as they learn about God.

Preschool Park:

Preschool Park is for 4 and 5 years olds who need some space to move around. we have a great playground in this room where they will also hear a lesson about God.

Policies:

Diaper Changing – Our volunteers can and will change diapers for children in Baby Land Zoo. However, men are not allowed to change any diapers. If your child is in another room and needs a diaper change, we will page you.

Hygiene Standards :

Bed Linens – Bed linens are washed after every use.  

Equipment/Toys – Toys, walkers, tables, mats and other equipment are sanitized weekly.  

Rooms – All rooms and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned twice weekly.

Sick Children - Because our children play closely together in the rooms, we want to make sure we maintain a healthy environment for them.  We cannot accept children into any of our rooms who are sick or have received medication in the last 24 hours.  If the staff feels that your child is not well, you will be notified to pick up your child.  If your child has a continually clear-runny nose or rash due to non-contagious allergies, please let us know.  

Snacks - Abundant Life Church provides saltine crackers for Baby Land only.  We are happy to feed your baby his or her bottle upon request, but we do not feed children anything other than the snack listed above.  Please notify the staff if your child should NOT have a snack.
